About Us

We are here to Guide, Support, and Empower the Next Generation of Nurses

Built on Knowledge. Guided by Values. Looking beyond Borders.

Thasiah College of Nursing was established with a clear mission: to provide quality nursing education that combines academic excellence, practical training, and strong ethical values. Located in Marthandam, Tamil Nadu, the college is a self‑supporting institution run by the Chellakan Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust, dedicated to serving society through education.

Founder &
Head of College

My journey in nursing began not in an office, but at the bedside.
I worked as a nurse in Germany for 33 years and live there since the 1980s. These decades of experience within the German healthcare system shaped my understanding of what truly matters in nursing: discipline, compassion, practical skill, and responsibility.
When I founded Thasiah College of Nursing, my goal was clear – to create an institution built on real nursing experience, not theory alone. I wanted students to learn in an environment that prepares them for the realities of healthcare, while also shaping them as confident, ethical, and caring individuals.
Living and worked internationally, I understand how important language, culture, and preparation are for those who aspire to build a future beyond their home country. This is why we now offer German language learning directly at the college, supporting students who wish to explore international pathways, including Germany.

Thasiah College of Nursing stands for education with purpose – rooted in experience, guided by values, and open to the world.
