Monisha S. G. – A Journey of Strength, Opportunity, and New Beginnings
At 31, Monisha looks back on a journey shaped by determination and the belief that hard work creates possibilities.
She completed her M.Sc. Nursing at Thasiah College of Nursing (2021–2023) – years that strengthened her skills, confidence, and ambition.
In April 2025, she made a life‑changing move to Germany – completely free of cost.
Leaving her family and her hometown behind was not easy, but Monisha knew that this step would open doors to a better future.
She now lives in Greifswald, a peaceful city in northern Germany, and works at the prestigious Universitätsmedizin Greifswald in the Pediatric Oncology Department.
In July 2025, she began preparing for her „Anerkennungsprüfung“, with the goal of taking the exam in
September 2026.
The journey has had its challenges – especially the language.
“I want to improve my communication skills. German is not easy. But the people here are friendly, supportive, and they help us grow. Nurses earn well, the work environment is less stressful, and the culture is welcoming. I like living here.”
Despite moments of homesickness, Monisha has embraced her new life with courage and consistency.
Her story reflects what is possible when opportunity meets dedication – and how a nursing education from Thasiah College can lead to a global career.

Benitta W. K. – From Uncertainty to Confidence: A Nurse’s Path to Germany
When Benitta looks back on her journey, she sees a path filled with challenges, growth, and quiet strength.
She completed her Nursing studies between 2020 and 2023 at Thasiah College of Nursing, always carrying the hope of building a stable and fulfilling career abroad.
That hope became reality on 7 April 2025, when she arrived in Germany – without paying any agency fees.
A few months later, on 27 October 2025, she began her Anerkennungsjahr, which she is expected to complete in October 2026.
Today, Benitta works in the Stroke Unit at Universitätsmedizin Greifswald, where every day brings new responsibilities and new learning experiences.
It’s a demanding environment, but one that has helped her grow into a more confident and capable nurse.
The beginning, however, was far from smooth.
“The beginning is not easy. The language, the new system, the responsibility – everything feels overwhelming at first. Of course, I miss my family the most. There were moments when I felt tired and doubted myself, especially during the first months at work. But I reminded myself why I started this journey. Step by step, it became better.”
Benitta refused to let those moments define her.
“I reminded myself why I chose this path. Slowly, things started to make sense. I learned, I adapted, and I became stronger.”
Today, she sees the value of every step she took.
“It is absolutely worth going this way. Germany offers many opportunities, professional growth, and stability. My advice: be patient with yourself, never stop learning, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Stay strong – it will pay off in the end.”
Benitta’s story is a testament to resilience – a reminder that even when the beginning feels overwhelming, perseverance can open doors to a life filled with purpose and possibility.

Ahana F. L. – Stepping Into a New Life With Courage and Purpose
Ahana’s path began at Thasiah College, where she completed her B.Sc. Nursing between 2018 and 2022.
She always dreamed of expanding her horizons and gaining international experience – a dream that took shape when she moved to Germany in June 2025, supported by a family friend.
Soon after arriving, she started her Anerkennungsjahr, which she is set to finish in June 2026.
Today, Ahana lives in Wiesbaden and works in the Geriatrics ward of a hospital, caring for elderly patients and learning the nuances of a new healthcare system.
But her transition was anything but effortless.
“Everything felt unfamiliar at first – the language, new environment, and different healthcare system. I miss my family the most. There were times when I felt stressed and thought about giving up.”
What helped her move forward was a combination of determination and the support she found around her.
“I reminded myself why I chose this path. I stayed patient, asked questions, and accepted that learning takes time. Many colleagues were incredibly supportive, and that made a huge difference.”
Looking back, she knows the challenges were worth it.
“You gain international exposure, professional development, and better career opportunities. If you stay committed and work hard, you will succeed.”
Ahana’s story is a reminder that growth often begins outside our comfort zone – and that with resilience and clarity, a new life in Germany can become a reality.
