Chellakan Thasian brings over 33 years of experience as a nurse in Germany, where he built his life through dedication, resilience, and hard work.
His journey from India to Germany was not easy. Language barriers, cultural differences, and professional adaptation required determination and discipline. Through perseverance, he overcame these challenges and established a stable and successful life abroad.
Guided by this experience, he founded Thasiah College of Nursing with a clear mission:
to provide high-quality nursing education accessible to all social backgrounds and to create pathways for national and international career opportunities.
His vision is rooted in giving back to society. By empowering the next generation of nurses, he aims to create lasting impact – where education and opportunity can be passed on from one generation to the next.

Franklin Thasian –

Vice Chairman

Franklin Thasian was born in Germany and is a qualified Registered Nurse in healthcare and nursing.
He currently holds a leadership role as a Ward Manager, overseeing the care of children and adolescents with mental health conditions. Through his work, he combines professional expertise with strong leadership, ensuring high standards in both patient care and team development.
For Thasiah College of Nursing, he envisions creating new employment opportunities, expanding access to education, and building a hopeful and secure future for the next generation.
His personal motto reflects his approach to both life and leadership:
“Always stay cool.”

Mariamma Thasian –

Trustee

Mariamma Thasian began her journey to Germany in 1974, supported by her sister, and built her path through determination and hard work.
While learning the German language, she completed a practical training year and went on to successfully finish her three-year nursing education in Germany. She gained experience across various hospital departments and developed strong professional and personal resilience.
Coming from a humble background, she understands the value of opportunity and perseverance. Today, she oversees the financial statements and contributes to the development of the Thasiah College of Nursing.
With her positive mindset and commitment, she contributes to building an institution that provides education, opportunity, and a better future for the next generation.

Kiana Halft
Trustee

Kiana Halft was born in Germany and is a trained construction draftswoman, bringing a strong sense of structure, precision, and commitment to her role.
At Thasiah College of Nursing, she is deeply dedicated to supporting the future of young women. She understands that building a professional career is not always easy for women and believes in creating real opportunities through education and guidance.
With our family-run college in India and my life in Germany, I felt inspired to take action and make a difference. She now offers German language training and provides one-to-one mentorship, guiding motivated students on their path towards living and working in Germany.
